Gas prices Hub were still below high

January gasoline charges in Boston (America), while high by historical averages, were somewhat below current spikes and were minor than inflation-adjusted charges from the early 1980s.

That’s one finding of a picture report on gas prices accumulated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which is division of the US Department of Labor.

In January, the standard price for every types of gas in Boston was $3.067 per gallon, which was faintly less per gallon than the country average at $3.096, the bureau said.

Since 1981, the minimum real price for gas in Boston was statements in March 1999, when gas was $1.296 per gallon, and the maximum real price was in September 2005, soon after Hurricane Katrina, when natural gas was $3.528 per gallon, the bureau said.
