Increased the prices of Canada’s house
Growth housing price go faster in January for the 2nd straight month, data Canada said Tuesday. The organization said housing markets stronger in Atlantic Canada and the Prairies pushed service provider’ selling prices up by 6.5 % between January 2007 and January this year, a faster speed than the increase 12-month of 6.2 % seen in December.
Said Statistics Canada the December and January speeding up follow 16 months of slowing raising in house prices. Saskatoon led the country with a yearly price increase of 51.7 %, year over year, with higher price for materials and labor, strong market situations and higher land orders all cited for the rise.
The increase year-over-year in Regina was 25.9 %, unchanged from December. In Halifax, values rose 11.4 % between January 2007 and January this year, while home purchasers in St. John’s saw a 12-month increase of 9.1%.
Windsor, Ont., listed year-over-year devaluation for the 16th month straight, as values fell 0.9 % from January 2007. Prices posted an increase 12-month of 4.2 % in Toronto, and 2 % in Ottawa-Gatineau.
