Relocating Logan AirTran Airways
AirTran Airways will change place check-in and ticketing procedures at Logan International Airport from the small level of Terminal C to the central entrance hall of the terminal tomorrow, the operator of airports, said, the Port Authority of Massachusetts.
The airline, which is managed by AirTran Holdings Inc. of Orlando, will use the ticket counter once used by Continental Airlines Inc. in the central lobby and will use new entry gates – 38, 40, 41, and 42; each of the gates will be handy from the upper stage of Terminal C, Massport said.
Presently, AirTran Airlines services eight destinations out of Logan, including Akron/Canton; Atlanta; Baltimore; Fort Myers; Orlando; Tampa; and West Palm, in Florida, as well as Newport News, Va., Massport said.
Planning AirTran is also 2 new nonstop ways from Boston; Chicago daily flights 3 to Midway will start April 9, and 2 continue flights to Milwaukee will begin May 21, Massport said.
