Chartered Institute of Management Accountants classes now at IIM Calcutta

The IIM Calcutta has entered into alliance with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), London to found a Centre for Management Accounting at the IIM Calcutta campus.  The centre will work to generate and disseminate facts to change management accountancy perform in India and other nations.  This will also promote the inter-disciplinary study in IIMC and other academic organizations in India.

A Memorandum-of-Understanding (MoU) between the 2 institutes has newly been signed. According to this Chartered Institute of Management Accountants will supporter the Centre and a CIMA Professor of Management Accounting for a first period of 3 years.  The authority of the Centre will be helping by the making of a Centre Advisory Board.  The member of board will have a president, who will be a person selected normally by IIMC and CIMA by rotation and accepted by the other partner.

The centre would hold discussions and seminars on a regular source, at least once a year.  Chartered Institute of Management Accountants will arrange to pay the journey cost of foreign experts, who will tell at the annual meeting to be organized by the Centre. IIMC will assume the research to act as an Academic Host to the Centre.

The range of the research is global and will include analysis relating to the specialized development of management accountants during their careers as well as other current issues linked to CIMA’s Centre of merit based at the University Of Bath School Of Management in the Britain.   CIMA and IIMC will publish results occurring from the study and organize internal seminars for students to give confidence this.
